Whether under the radiator, under dishwashers and washing machines or simply under the shower tray cavity: no one likes to drill into their tiles to mount one of the many available water sensors. Simply laying them down only works in the rarest of cases, it always takes some weight to press the contacts securely to the floor and the lines are usually quite rigid, the light sensors will sooner or later lift off the floor again. This is where our new SHT 5090 water sensor comes into play: its own weight of around 100 grams combined with compact dimensions makes it possible to simply place the sensor on the surface to be monitored and connect it to one of our SHT 5000, SHT 5001 or SHT 5002 fixed installation water detectors. With the three ball electrodes, the best connection to the ground and always stable stand is continuously guaranteed. Even if you place your sensor upright against the wall for lack of a suitable place, e.g. behind a cabinet, the two correct balls will always touch the floor and your water detector will reliably and safely alarm occurring water.
No need to mount or fix the sensor!
