Functional description:
The SHT 5000 water detector is a powerful multifunctional device for monitoring basements, flat roofs, cisterns, pump sumps and much more. One water sensor or mini float switch is connected per input. For alarming purposes, a signal generator is built in, which can be switched on or off for each input. Four LEDs indicate the status of the sensor inputs. Furthermore, an alarm memory can be connected to each input.
Battery operation in case of power failure:
With the option "battery operation", a 9V block battery is fitted to the SHT 5000 water detector. In this way, an acoustic alarm is still triggered in the event of a brief power failure, or an emergency power control circuit is switched via the relay in the event of an alarm, for example, or the relay is kept on monitoring without dropping out.
Sensor lines:
Can be extended, but must be thin! Maximum 2x 0.14mm² (LiYY) at maximum 50 meters per detection line, in case of parallel connection the individual lengths are added, e.g. max. 20m + 30m sensor line.
Connection of external devices:
By means of an integrated potential-free relay contact in the device, a signal transmitter, a solenoid shut-off valve, a telephone dialer or also a bus system can be activated in the event of an alarm message. When using the accessory "relay plug-in card" (Art. No. 300747), a change-over relay is assigned to each input. Thus, a separate additional device can be controlled for each input, a pump control can be realized or a WWD 200 Smarthome adapter (Art.-No. 200200) or a GSM dialer (Art. No. 200279) can be controlled.
Use with non-conductive liquids:
Sie können den Wassermelder SHT 5000 auch mit anderen Flüssigkeiten verwenden, die nicht leitfähig sind oder gefährliche Eigenschaften besitzen. Kombinieren sie den SHT 5000 einfach mit unseren Mini-Schwimmerschaltern. Es können auch mehrere Sensoren und Schwimmerschalter (auch gemischt) parallel verwendet werden, wenn die max. Gesamtkabellänge < 50 m pro Eingang bleibt.

Application examples
Water intrusion in the house:
If the SHT 5000 is upgraded with the optionally available relay plug-in card, a separate relay can be controlled for each input, thus creating various combination options for controlling additional devices.
Monitoring cistern:
Level indication by 4 sensors or better and more reliable, with mini float switches: each input is indicated individually. Sensors are preferably to be used for regularly dry environment, e.g. cellar floor. Even the thinnest water films due to condensing moisture will cause the water detector to alarm or not reliably shut down, which brings with it a pump of dry running.
