The float switch made of plastic is reliable, maintenance- and wear-free and easy to mount. With voltages up to 5 volts and currents up to 1 mA, up to 1 trillion switching cycles are possible. Water detectors from Elektrotechnik Schabus keep to this limit, here a square-wave alternating voltage of 2.5 Vpp is always switched with high impedance, i.e. with very low current. The normally open contact switches on at a certain level and activates the input of the water detector. By turning the float body around, the reverse contact function is also obtained; with the changeover contact, turning around is not necessary.
Mini float switches are basically used where a water level is signaled, i.e. in tanks, cisterns, wells, in the pump sump and in all other containers where water sensors would be exposed to excessive moisture and thus quickly tend to false alarms, but also accelerated wear. If the 2.5 meter cable is too short for you, please inform us about the required length, we will be happy to manufacture each individual float switch as requested.
LIYY cables are only temporarily waterproof and, according to the manufacturer, flame-retardant, low-adhesion, self-extinguishing and largely resistant to oils, greases, coolants and lubricants.

Errors in the electrical connection of magnetic float switches can destroy the reed contacts. This can cause the system to malfunction, resulting in personal injury or material damage!
