Functional description: The SHT 228 water detector is a plug-in pump control which switches on a connected water pump when a certain water level is reached and also switches it off again after a preset time when the water level drops. An infinitely variable dial is used to set the pump's run-on time from 0 to 100 seconds. An optical warning signals the change in water level. The robust float switch is particularly suitable for dirty water or also for other liquids (e.g. heating oil, diesel, vegetable oil, lubricating oil, etc.). The switch contact of the float closes from approx. 4 cm level height and activates the input of the water detector. By turning the float body around, the reverse switching function is also obtained.Extension cable Sensor cable: If required, you can extend the sensor cable up to 50 m with a cable (2 x 0.14 mm²). To do this, you must cut the existing sensor cable and reconnect it with terminals.
LIYY cables are only temporarily waterproof and, according to the manufacturer, flame-retardant, low-adhesion, self-extinguishing and largely resistant to oils, greases, coolants and lubricants.
With audible alarm: The same device is available as water detector SHT 227 (item no. 300227) with audible alarm.
