Functional description: The SHT 240 water detector is a quick-to-install socket device for indoor use for monitoring basements, washrooms, boiler rooms, cisterns and much more. The water sensor is mounted near the floor and the device is plugged into the socket. A signal transmitter is built in to provide a loud alarm.
Sensor cable extension : If required, you can extend the sensor cable up to 50 m with a cable (2 x 0.14 mm²). To do this, you must cut the existing sensor cable and reconnect it with clamps. We can also supply prefabricated special lengths for a small surcharge, please contact Elektrotechnik Schabus technical support.
LIYY cables are only temporarily waterproof and, according to the manufacturer, flame-retardant, low-adhesion, self-extinguishing and largely resistant to oils, greases, coolants and lubricants.
Use with non-conductive liquids: For other liquids such as heating oil, diesel, vegetable oil, lubricating oils, etc., you need the device SHT 241 (art. no. 300241) with mini float switch.
