The professional CO warning and measuring device GX-C300P with internal electrochemical sensor is equipped with a negative pressure system, which allows to place a hose into the room to be monitored. Either the room is very dusty (pellet and wood chip bunkers) or thermally demanding (gas-fired saunas and cold stores) or no electrical wiring is allowed, then air extraction is the only way to measure CO concentration. No large quantities of air are required, a low negative pressure in the warning device is sufficient to obtain correct measurement results after 30 seconds at the latest. For rooms with a high dust load, a filter is supplied, which should be replaced if necessary, at the latest annually. By default, the device operates strictly according to the EN 50291 standard, but it can be programmed to your requirements at the factory before production. CO sensor, measuring cell, evaluation and software were subjected to a complex full test according to DIN EN 50291 at TÜV Süd, safety and stability were certified for the system. The development of the professional CO alarm GX-C300P was the logical consequence of this. The 2 meter long hose is firmly and tightly attached to the device and cannot be loosened. The hose can be shortened, but in thermally demanding rooms at least 100cm of hose must be left free before it enters the wall, see diagram on the right. The max. permissible hose length is 4 meters. The GX-C300P is a device for surface mounting and is supplied with a fixed 230 volt supply line. The device is immediately ready for operation, the measurement and evaluation starts immediately after applying the voltage and is designed for years of continuous operation. The 2x 16 character display is in English, the CO-values are displayed ppm-accurately and with the service button further information can be called up. In the event of an alarm, a loud piezo sounder sounds and the display flashes conspicuously with its illumination.
The alerting according to the standard is too strict for me...
The alarm levels and their delay times are ideally suited for living rooms and rooms with residential-like use. The GXC300P, in particular, is often not intended for residential use and you, as the user, may have your own ideas about sensible alarm levels. Contact us and let us know your wishes, our Technical Support and Programming Service will be happy to assist you with detailed advice. We can easily adjust many parameters and tailor the behaviour of the CO warning system entirely to your needs. A test and inspection report is then supplied. By the way, this is possible with all Schabus C300 detectors.
