The GX-C300P is a professional carbon monoxide alarm device for permanent installation, specially developed for demanding environments such as gas-fired saunas, cold storage facilities, or dusty rooms – such as pellet and wood chip bunkers. Thanks to its integrated negative pressure system, the air to be monitored can be reliably fed to the measuring cell via a permanently installed silicone hose. This enables precise monitoring even in areas where electrical installations are not possible or practical. The device precisely measures the CO concentration and displays the value in ppm on an illuminated plain-text display. The system delivers reliable measurement results after just 30 seconds. To ensure consistently precise measurement even in environments with high dust levels, a replaceable filter is included, which should be replaced at least once a year. The alarm is triggered according to the warning levels defined in DIN EN 50291, but can be customized at the factory. Two potential-free changeover relays also enable the control of external systems, for example, to activate forced ventilation or to forward an alarm to a building management system. If the specified CO levels are exceeded, the device issues a clear acoustic and visual warning: A loud piezo alarm sounds, while the display flashes conspicuously. Furthermore, the GX-C300P continuously monitors itself and reliably reports any detected technical faults. The electrochemical sensor inside the device has a service life of six to ten years – depending on the ambient conditions – and can be replaced by Elektrotechnik Schabus in the factory if necessary. The permanently installed 230-volt power supply ensures a reliable power supply, making the device ready for use immediately after switching on and designed for continuous operation. The standard hose length is two meters, but can be customized depending on the application. While a minimum length of one meter must be maintained in thermally demanding rooms to ensure accurate measurement, the maximum hose length must not exceed four meters. Since the GX-C300P is frequently used in industrial or specialized environments, the factory-set alarm levels and delay times can be customized upon request. While the default values ​​are optimally designed for residential or apartment-like spaces, many users have their own specific requirements for their CO warning system. Elektrotechnik Schabus therefore offers a comprehensive programming service, precisely configuring the device to the desired parameters. Customers receive detailed advice and a test and inspection report documenting the adjusted settings. This customization option is also available for all other Schabus C300 warning devices.
