The GAS ALARM GX-A1-CO is a combination of ext. CO sensor and control unit for carbon monoxide and warns at CO concentrations specified in DIN EN 50291 (CO in living spaces).
This monitoring system is therefore set very sensitively according to its purpose. This CO gas detector may only be used together with the enclosed CO sensor.
An LCD display constantly informs you about the operating status. The alarm signal is audible and visual, both on the control unit and on the sensor itself. At the same time, a potential-free relay is switched, e.g. to lock the gas supply line with a solenoid shut-off valve, so that no further gas can escape at a possible leak in the gas line or in the gas boiler.
Another relay switches in the event of technical faults detected by the control unit itself. The device must not be used in rooms with explosion hazard. The control unit and sensor are matched to each other.
Only operate the two devices together and exclusively in dry indoor rooms with residential-like use, e.g. in living rooms, stores, stores, offices, in low-dust workshops, seminar rooms, and many more.
The GX-A1+ has the special version with the TÜV-approved CO sensor. On the one hand, the CO sensor requires a higher operating voltage for its own alarming, on the other hand, it has a ppm-accurate display and enables an equally accurate alarming. The warning levels and delay times correspond to the parameters specified in the DIN EN 50291 standard.
The special advantage of the GX-A1+CO is the possibility to monitor a room for harmful CO concentrations, but to leave the actual warning device outside in order to be informed already before entering the room how long it can be entered. The potential-free 230-volt changeover relay is ideal for switching on forced ventilation systems in the pellet bunker in the event of an alarm, for example, and thus quickly reducing the high CO concentrations back to a tolerable level. Gas heaters should also be switched off in case of danger in order to prevent further CO from flowing in.
A further relay for up to 60 volts DC informs the home automation or building control system of technical faults detected by the warning device itself, if required.
