For which applications is the SHT 5000 suitable?
The SHT 5000 is a versatile professional water detector for use in residential buildings, commercial buildings, boats or technical systems. Typical applications are:
Thanks to its four separately evaluable inputs, several areas can be monitored at the same time.
How does the SHT 5000 work?
A water sensor or float switch can be connected to each of the four inputs. As soon as moisture or a certain level is detected, the device triggers an acoustic and visual alarm. In addition, external devices can be controlled via the integrated relay - such as pumps, signal generators or smart home adapters.
Each input can be individually configured (alarm memory, sound signal active/inactive). An optional relay plug-in card expands the control options for each input separately.
What is included?
- 1x Wassermelder SHT 5000 (ohne Sensor)
- 4x Schrauben und Dübel zur Wandmontage
Please note: Sensors or float switches must be ordered separately.
Which sensors are compatible with the SHT 5000?
All Schabus water sensors and mini float switches with normally open contacts (e.g. SHT 5001, SHT 5002, float switches MS1/MS2) can be operated on the SHT 5000.
Each input can have several sensors connected in parallel as long as the The total length of the control line per signaling line does not exceed 50 meters.
Can the SHT 5000 be operated with non-conductive liquids?
Yes. In combination with a Mini float switch The SHT 5000 is also suitable for liquids that are not electrically conductive - such as heating oil, vegetable oil, diesel or lubricants.
Is the SHT 5000 battery operated?
The SHT 5000 is a mains dependent device (230 V). Optionally, a 9V block battery can be used to to bridge short power outages. In this case, the audible alarm remains functional and a connected relay can be held during the failure.
What is the maximum length of the sensor cable?
The is allowed per input Total length of the control line maximum 50 meters be. There should be thin lines of type LiYY 2×0.14mm² be used. If several sensors are used per input, the cable lengths must be added (e.g. 20m + 30m = 50m).
Can I switch a separate device at each input?
Yes - using the optional Relay plug-in card (Item no. 300747), each input has its own changeover relay. This allows up to four different consumers (e.g. pump, solenoid valve, alarm module, WWD 200) can be controlled separately.
Is the SHT 5000 compatible with smart home systems?
Yes. The SHT 5000 is optimally prepared for the WWD 200 smart home adapter. This is connected via the integrated relay and sends a in the event of an alarm Push notification to your smartphone (via Smart Life app).
Is the SHT 5000 also suitable for outdoor use?
The SHT 5000 is designed for indoor use as standard. However, for humid or dusty environments, the device can manufactured on request with protection class IP65 become. Please contact us before ordering.
Can sensors and float switches be used mixed?
Yes – sensors and float switches can be within a detection line also mixed operated as long as they are all connected in parallel and the maximum cable length per line is not exceeded.
Is there a model for 24V operation?
Yes – there is the for use in vehicles, boats or self-sufficient systems SHT 5000-24 V (Item 300790). Please make sure you choose the correct variant when ordering.
