Functional description
By using the KDS 110 cable exhaust air control unit, an exhaust air system can only be used when the window is open and the necessary supply air can flow into the room. A magnetic switch on the window sash monitors whether the window is open or closed and transmits this information to the control unit via a thin cable. This releases the power supply only when the window is tilted or open.
Mounting
The control line is connected to the control unit and the magnetic switch. Ideal for retrofitting if the control line has already been laid (2 cores, cable length max. 25m). The control unit is equipped with a potential-free changeover contact and can thus be interconnected in the fan motor supply line of the cooker hood so that the lighting of the cooker hood functions independently of the window position. Second window (OR)
At least one window must be open so that the exhaust air system can be switched on. For this purpose, the KDS 110 SET is connected to the cable solenoid switch KMS 098K22 for the second window.
Second window (AND)
Two windows must be open at the same time so that the exhaust air system can be switched on. Two independent KDS 110 SETs are required for this purpose. The relays of the control units must be connected in series.

As soon as the exhaust gas temperature in the exhaust pipe exceeds 40°C, the window must be opened:

When the window is closed, the control unit switches the socket of the cooker bonnet off. The control unit can be surface-mounted or flush-mounted in a distribution box, switch box or socket with a minimum diameter of 60 mm. If necessary, the fastening lugs on the side of the control unit can be broken away. | |

With the KDS 110, a cable breakage protection (10 KOhm resistor) is integrated in the supplied cable magnetic switch. If the KDS 110 is not used with the original cable magnetic switch, but with an integrated switching contact on the window, the following must be observed: In order to maintain the cable break protection, you must connect the supplied 10 KOhm resistor parallel to the make contact according to the connection example. | |

If there is no combustion in the fireplace, the exhaust air system can be switched on independently of the window position. As soon as the exhaust gas temperature in the exhaust pipe exceeds 40°C, the window must be opened.
