CO2 traffic lights for classrooms of Rohrdorf primary school handed over

Proper ventilation in Corona times – SCHABUS hands over more CO2 warning detectors to an Upper Bavarian primary school
On 15.12.2020, the Rohrdorf primary school was supplied with a further eight CO2 traffic lights These CO2 traffic lights are an effective tool for maintaining a healthy indoor climate in classrooms and thus also help to meaningfully minimize the risk of coronavirus infection.
It is a particular concern of ours to support our Bavarian schools with the warning systems we have developed, and we are convinced that students will enjoy a healthy indoor climate in the classrooms in the future – Petra Schabus (Managing Director of Electrical Engineering SCHABUS)
The municipality of Rohrdorf expressed its sincere gratitude for this generous donation and is pleased to have the warning systems installed and ready for use by the first day of school in the new year 2021.
The SCHABUS CO2 traffic lights indicate exactly when and for how long the room needs to be ventilated. They measure the carbon dioxide content in the air and the display shows green, orange, or red accordingly. As soon as the traffic lights turn orange, it's an unmistakable sign that it's about time to ventilate. When they turn red, however, it's high time to let fresh air into the room. When there is enough oxygen in the room, the lights turn back to green, and the windows can be closed again. This helps teachers and students find the right ventilation times. Students can thus avoid unnecessary freezing due to unnecessary ventilation in the future.
