Good air – healthy learning

Preysing Elementary School now a CO2 test school

On the initiative of Sven Herrmann, a resident of Aschau and an active CSU member from the Aschau-Sachrang local branch, in cooperation with Klaus Stöttner, Member of Parliament, and Elmar Stegmeier from the Health and Care Policy Working Group, the Preysing Elementary School in Aschau was chosen as the “test school for CO2 traffic lights.”

The CO2 traffic lights are intended to significantly improve air quality and ventilation in the school's old building – not just during the coronavirus pandemic. Especially in these times, it is important to "stick together" and look for uncomplicated solutions. Klaus Stöttner, Sven Herrmann, and Elmar Stegmeier happily handed over the first three CO2 traffic lights to the school principals Astrid Sauer and Birgit Spies. The mayor, Simon Frank, thanked the initiators for their commitment to the community and assured them that the three CO2 traffic lights would be installed promptly by the municipal building department and would be operational after the holidays. Klaus Stöttner would be delighted if more Aschau entrepreneurs would also like to provide support. As Ms. Sauer revealed, if the test is successful, the remaining eight classrooms in the new building will be equipped with CO2 traffic lights. Sven Herrmann and Elmar Stegmeier would also be pleased if more "donors" would get involved to carry out possible collective orders for the elementary school and perhaps, in the future, also for the after-school care center, nursery, and kindergarten. The CO2 traffic lights used come from the regional company Electrical engineering SCHABUS from Stephanskirchen and are produced in the district.

We already say “Thank you”.
