<p data-start="273" data-end="584">The <strong data-start="277" data-end="336">supply air duct with integrated electric ventilation flap reliably ensures fresh air supply while maintaining a high level of safety. The housing is made of <strong data-start="435" data-end="464">fire-retardant plastic, and the <strong data-start="470" data-end="501">pipe connections on both sides are made of <strong data-start="511" data-end="531">galvanized steel – robust, durable, and easy to install.</p>
<p data-start="586" data-end="911">The integrated <strong data-start="602" data-end="643">return flap with spring return opens in approximately 8 seconds when 230 V mains voltage is applied. As soon as the voltage is switched off, the flap closes, dampened by the gear mechanism – also in approximately 8 seconds. This prevents uncontrolled air flow or cold penetration.</p>

<p data-start="968" data-end="1221">The return damper is controlled, for example, by the <strong>Elektrotechnik-SCHABUS <a href="https://www.elektrotechnik-schabus.de/abluft-klimasteuerung/kabel-zuluftsteuerung-kzs-200">KZS 200 cable supply air control</a></strong>, which automatically opens the damper when an exhaust air device (e.g., fan) is switched on. This ensures efficient and reliable air conditioning.</p>

💡 General information about the function

How does the reset flap in the supply air pipe work? When 230V mains voltage is applied, a spring return motor opens the flap in approx. 8 seconds. After the voltage is switched off, it closes automatically and is cushioned by an integrated return spring.

How long does it take to open and close? Around 8 seconds each. The motor works powerfully, the feedback is mechanical and quiet.

⚙️ Control and combination

How can the flap be controlled? E.g. via the Supply air control KZS 200 from Schabus. It detects the operation of an exhaust air device and automatically applies voltage to the flap.

Can the flap be operated with a light switch? Yes, in principle manual switching via a simple switch is also possible if technically installed.

🛠️ Assembly and installation

Can I wall in the supply air flap? No. These flaps may not walled up become. They must be accessible at all times and easily replaceable if necessary. We recommend a suitable pipe section with for the wall breakthrough End flangeTo which the flap is attached on the inside.

Is this flap suitable for extractor hoods? No. She is not for exhaust systems such as extractor hoods. In this case, use a suitable wall box.

Can it serve as a replacement for a wall box? No. This flap is not as a wall closure or external flap suitable.

🔧 Maintenance and lifespan

Is the flap maintenance-free? Yes, the system is designed to be maintenance-free. A regular visual inspection is still recommended.

How long does the engine last? The spring return motor is designed for a high number of cycles. Nevertheless, the following applies: Every electrical component should be accessible and replaceable if necessary.
