Colour telegrey, transmitter housing available on request in various RAL colours for an additional charge
The FDS 216 set ensures the safe operation of exhaust air systems by monitoring the window position and transmitting the information wirelessly to the built-in receiver. The transmitter on the window reliably detects whether the window is tilted or open. Only when the window is open can fresh air flow in, preventing dangerous negative pressure that could draw toxic carbon monoxide from combustion chambers into the room.
The adapter plug receiver is simply placed between the wall outlet and the extractor hood's power plug. As soon as the window is opened, it automatically releases the power supply to the fan. A power plug lock prevents accidental reconnection—ideal for retrofitting in kitchens with fireplaces or other open fireplaces.
Operation with second window (OR operation):
You have the option of using a second window with an additional FDS 098 wireless magnetic switch (item: 300098). At least one window must be open for the exhaust system to operate. Using the wireless receiver's serial number, Elektrotechnik-Schabus can program another wireless switch for the set.
The serial number can be found on the type plate of the radio receiver and the transmitter under the barcode field
* Obstacles, especially metal, can significantly reduce the range compared to open space. The actual range always depends on the specific installation. Frequent interruptions during operation, even with a fresh battery, are often due to a poor radio link. The distance between transmitter and receiver is largely irrelevant. Keep the receiver at least 20 cm away from the nearest metal surface. Thick glass plates, ceramic hobs, kitchen cabinets with pots and pans, as well as walls and ceilings, also shield radio waves well and interfere with reliable operation. To ensure a good connection, align the receiver during installation so that its LED is pointing towards the transmitter.
