Description
The magnetic switch of the KDS 116 set without DIBt approval monitors the window position and transmits the information via a thin cable to a built-in control unit with potential-free 16 A changeover relay. For example, an exhaust air laundry dryer can only be operated with the window tilted or open if it is ensured that sufficient fresh air flows into the room and thus no negative pressure is created which could draw dangerous and toxic carbon monoxide from a combustion site.

Functional description: By using the KDS 116 cable exhaust air control unit, an exhaust air system can only be used when the window is open and the supply air required for it can flow into the room. A magnetic switch on the window sash monitors whether the window is open or closed and transmits this information to the control unit via a thin cable. This releases the power supply only when the window is tilted or open.
Mounting: The control line is clamped to the control unit and the solenoid switch. Ideal for retrofitting if the control line with two wires has already been laid. The control unit is equipped with a potential-free changeover contact and can thus be interposed in the fan motor supply line of the cooker hood so that the lighting of the cooker hood functions independently of the window position.
Second window: The system can be combined with another cable solenoid switch KMS 098K22 for a second window. At least one window must be open for the exhaust air system to be switched on.
KDS 116 combined with integrated switch contact on window: Many window manufacturers offer windows with an integrated switch contact (opener/closer). The KDS 116 can easily be combined with these window contacts.
