View full detailsThe Gas Alarm GX-HS is a gas detector for various gases and warns even at gas concentrations far below life-threatening levels. This monitoring system is therefore set to be very sensitive, in keeping with its purpose. A suitable sensor must be used for each gas type. (Information on activation and minimum concentration can be found in the sensor's operating instructions). The alarm signal is emitted visually and audibly by the device (an external buzzer/piezo alarm can be connected to the device as an option). A potential-free relay is also switched, for example to switch a magnetic shut-off valve (locking the gas supply line) with the relay so that no further gas can escape from a potential leak in the gas line or gas boiler. A second relay / fault relay can be used to operate a switching input in the building management system.
Assembly instructions
The warning device and sensor may only be installed in dry indoor areas and must be positioned correctly depending on the gas type to ensure proper functioning of the warning device.
Installation must be carried out by a qualified professional. Please observe the five safety rules!
DIN rail mounting
The Gas Alarm GX-HS is installed in distribution boards and control cabinets on a standard 35 mm DIN rail.
Sensor Installation Depending on the type of sensor connected, the device detects various gases, such as town gas and natural gas (methane/butane), carbon monoxide, smoke, or carbon dioxide. A specified mounting height is required for each sensor type, as gases have different properties and disperse accordingly throughout the room. When using cable extensions, please be sure to refer to the sensor's operating instructions.
