KZS 200 – die clevere Lösung für eine automatische, sensorgesteuerte Zuluftregelung.

Die Kabel-Zuluftsteuerung KZS 200 sorgt für mehr Sicherheit und Effizienz beim Betrieb Ihrer Abluftanlage – ganz ohne zusätzlichen Fensterkontakt. Sie wird einfach zwischen Steckdose und Netzstecker der Abluftanlage gesteckt und erkennt anhand des Stromverbrauchs, ob nur die Beleuchtung aktiv ist oder ob der Abluftmotor läuft.

Wird der Motor eingeschaltet, öffnet die KZS 200 automatisch eine angeschlossene Zuluftklappe – und schließt sie zuverlässig wieder, sobald der Motor abgeschaltet wird. So strömt nur dann Frischluft zu, wenn sie wirklich benötigt wird – das verhindert Unterdruck und schützt vor gefährlichem Rückstau von Abgasen.

Der Schaltpunkt zur Unterscheidung zwischen Licht- und Motorbetrieb ist stufenlos einstellbar (zwischen 5 und 250 Watt). Eine integrierte LED zeigt die Aktivierung der Steuerung an und unterstützt bei der optimalen Justierung.

Die KZS 200 ist vielseitig einsetzbar und kompatibel mit verschiedenen Zuluftklappen – unter anderem mit den luftdichten Klappen mit Belimo-Stellantrieb sowie den besonders schnellen Kunststoffklappen mit Federrückstellung, beide im Sortiment von Elektrotechnik SCHABUS erhältlich. Auch viele andere marktübliche Klappen lassen sich problemlos ansteuern.

Ein praktisches Detail: Die integrierte Netzstecker-Sicherung verhindert, dass der Gerätestecker versehentlich abgezogen oder umgesteckt wird – ein Plus an Komfort und Betriebssicherheit.

Technology & function

How does the KZS 200 detect whether the exhaust motor is running or just the light is on? The KZS 200 continuously measures the power consumption of the connected exhaust system. A continuously adjustable threshold value (between 5 and 250 watts) distinguishes between light operation and motor operation. If the preset value is exceeded, the control automatically activates the connected supply air flap.

Which supply air flaps can be controlled with the KZS 200? The KZS 200 is compatible with many standard supply air flaps, in particular with:
– the airtight flaps with Belimo motor (from the Elektrotechnik SCHABUS range)
– the particularly fast-reacting plastic flaps with spring return
– other flaps with 230 volt actuators, provided they do not generate starting currents above the switching capacity

Can the KZS 200 also be used in recirculation mode? No. The KZS 200 is designed for exhaust air operation - no external supply air is required for recirculation systems.

Installation

How is the KZS 200 connected? The KZS 200 is plugged between the socket and the exhaust system. The consumer (e.g. supply air flap) is connected via the separately led out switching cable. A simple test run with the lights and motor is sufficient to adjust the switching point.

How do I set the correct switching value? Turn the adjustment wheel so that the LED remains off when the light is in operation, but lights up when the motor is in operation. This way you can reliably see whether the KZS 200 correctly distinguishes between light and exhaust air.

What happens if the exhaust system's consumption is very low? Even in modern exhaust air systems with low consumption values, the KZS 200 can be precisely adjusted by fine-tuning the threshold value. If the power consumption is too close for reliable separation, we recommend using a window switch or an alternative control.

Legal

Do I need a DIBt approval? The KZS 200 does not have DIBt approval because it works without window contact. If your chimney sweep requires a ventilation fuse with DIBt approval, we recommend a window contact switch instead (e.g. FDS 100 Set or KDS 110 SET).

Does the chimney sweep have to remove the KZS 200? For systems without DIBt approval, the responsible district chimney sweep decides on the admissibility in individual cases. If in doubt, please coordinate before installation.

Can I install the KZS 200 myself? Yes. Installation is easy for technically experienced users as no live cables need to be opened. However, please pay attention to the connection capacity of your supply air flap and, if in doubt, have it checked by a specialist company.

Is there an alternative with window contact or radio connection? Yes - Elektrotechnik SCHABUS offers various solutions with window contact (e.g. KDS 110, FDS 100) or radio transmission (e.g. FDS 170). We would be happy to advise you on choosing the control system that is right for you.

Where can I get suitable supply air flaps? You can find compatible flaps with a Belimo actuator or spring return directly from Elektrotechnik Schabus or through specialist retailers.
