⚡ SHT 226 – the Aquastop for standing water

The SHT 226 reliably protects devices and rooms from damage caused by water or other liquids.

Unlike the SHT 216, this Aquastop doesn't react to tiny drops , but only when liquid accumulates at least 4 cm high . This is ideal when water accumulates in places you can't immediately see or reach—for example, in pumping stations, tanks, or basements.

How it works:

  • If the liquid rises to 4 cm or more, the mini float switch switches off the connected device .
  • In addition to automatically shutting down the device, the system also issues an acoustic and visual alarm.
  • The switchable socket can also be used to control a normally closed solenoid shut-off valve , which shuts off the supply in the event of a liquid leak. Your specialist will reliably install the appropriate valve.

💡 Typical applications

  • 🏠 Lifting systems for washing machines or dishwashers: If the pump is defective, the water in the lift tank rises. The SHT 226 shuts off the machine before water damage occurs.

  • 🛢️ Heating oil tanks or lubricating oil containers: Alarms in case of overfilling or leaks.

  • 🚿 Water storage tanks or rainwater systems: Stop pumps or warn before water overflows.

  • 💧 Basements or utility rooms: Protects against backflow, burst pipes or leaking water.

🛠️ Flexible installation and extension

  • Extending the sensor cable: 2.5 m long as standard, the cable can be extended up to 50 m using a LIYY cable (max. 2 x 0.14 mm²). Connections are made via terminals or can be customized to a specific length ex works upon request.

  • Versatile use: Thanks to the mini float switch, the SHT 226 detects liquid levels from 4 cm high – perfect for heating oil tanks, lubricants or other non-conductive liquids.

  • Note: LIYY cables are temporarily waterproof, flame-retardant, self-extinguishing, low-adhesion, and largely resistant to oils, greases, coolants, and lubricants.

💡When do I need the SHT 226? Whenever water or other liquids remain standing and can collect - e.g. B. in lifting systems, tanks, rainwater storage tanks or cellars. The SHT 226 automatically switches off devices and warns you before damage occurs.

🛠️ How do I install the SHT 226? Plug in the plug, attach the mini float switch with a mounting bracket, plug in the device – done. A specialist company is only necessary for the solenoid shut-off valve.

📏 Can I extend the float switch? Yes, the cable is 2.8m long as standard and can reach up to 50m can be extended with a LIYY cable (max. 2 x 0.14mm²).
