💧 SHT 5000 12-24 V – the professional water detector for versatile applications

The mains-powered SHT 5000 12-24 V is a versatile professional water detector for simultaneous monitoring of up to four separate detection zones—for example, in different rooms or zones within a building. Multiple sensors or float switches can be operated in parallel per input, as long as the total length of the control cable does not exceed 50 m per detection line. The control cables can be extended, but must be thin! A maximum of 2 x 0.14 mm² (LiYY) with a maximum of 50 meters per detection line. When connected in parallel, the individual lengths are added together, e.g., a maximum of 20 m + 30 m sensor cable.

Ideal for basements, utility rooms, pump sumps, cisterns, flat roofs, and many other applications. Whether water ingress, dry running, or level monitoring, it operates on 12V or 24V batteries and decoupled on-board power supplies for mobile use on yachts, trucks, mobile homes, or in agriculture. With audible and visual alarms, a switching output, and expansion options, the SHT 5000 is versatile – even for smart home solutions via the WWD 200 adapter (item 200200).

For non-conductive liquids, you can install our SCHABUS mini float switches in plastic or V2A or V4A stainless steel. Again, please consider the total length of the control cable.

With the " battery operation " option, the SHT 5000 water detector is equipped with a 9V block battery. This means that even in the event of a brief power outage, an audible alarm is triggered, or the integrated relay can, for example, activate an emergency power control circuit in the event of an alarm, or the relay can be kept on monitoring without deactivating.
The integrated potential-free relay contact in the device can be used to control, for example, a signal generator, a magnetic shut-off valve, a telephone dialer or even a bus system when an alarm is triggered.

Expansion option
With an additional relay plug-in card (please order separately), each detection line can receive an additional signal relay = for 4 independent control circuits = one changeover relay per detection line

Now optimized for the WWD 200 Smart Home Adapter , which sends you push notifications to your smartphone in the event of an event via the Smart Live app.
Alternatively, receive notifications via SMS usingthe GSM dialer (item no. 200279) .

  • Sensors are only suitable for regularly dry environments and react to small amounts of water as soon as the conductive water film touches both contacts.
  • Conductive water required (tap water, rainwater, fresh water), resistance must be less than approx. 80 kOhm

  • passive sensors do not emit a signal and do not change their properties when in contact with water

How does the SHT 5000 12-24 V work?
