Water leaks often go unnoticed for a long time – especially where they occur hidden:
Under kitchen cabinets, in laundry rooms, behind bathroom cabinets, or around the aquarium. The SHT 450 detects even the smallest drops along the entire length of its sensor cable – and warns you in time before expensive damage occurs .
A 1-meter-long, white LIYY control cable with a smooth surface begins directly at the socket device. This is followed by the sensor cable , which is clearly visible thanks to its black and white striped design .
🔌 The LIYY cable connects the socket in the wall to the floor area where the sensor cable is placed to reliably detect water leaks.
The supplied black and white striped sensor cable is 2 m long , reacts to moisture at any point and can be laid discreetly and across the entire area - even over corners, under furniture or along walls.
Detects moisture locally or over a large area – no need to search for the deepest spot
Very robust: abrasion-resistant, corrosion-resistant, cleanable
Conductive polymer technology: No exposed metal, safe and durable
Easy to clean: Wipe clean with a damp cloth
The sensor cable can be extended to your desired length at the factory upon ordering. Please contact us if necessary.
Optionally, the sensor cable can be extended with a suitable LIYY control cable – see notes below.
However, the total length should not exceed 50 meters.
Simply plug the SHT 450 into a power outlet, lay out the sensor cable in the area to be monitored, and you're done! The integrated signaling device immediately sounds an alarm as soon as the cable detects moisture.

The factory-installed sensor or switch cable can be extended up to 50 m if required. A thin control cable with a cross-section of max. 2 × 0.14 mm² (LIYY type) must be used.
💡 Important: Larger cross-sections increase the cable's electrical capacitance. This can lead to false alarms or malfunctions – therefore, only thin control cables may be used!
For longer cables, we recommend having a specialist perform the connection or ordering the desired length directly from the factory. You can order the appropriate cable here: Item number: 300780
The LIYY control cables are only temporarily waterproof and according to the manufacturer:
→ flame-retardant , self-extinguishing , low-adhesion
→ largely resistant to oils, greases, coolants and lubricants
Not suitable for permanent water contact or outdoor use without protection .
The cables must never be laid parallel to 230 V cables to avoid interference and safety risks .
