The SHT 218 plug-in water detector functions as a pump controller. When the sensor detects soil moisture, the plug-in water detector activates the connected pump. After the sensor dries, the pump continues to run for a configurable run-on time of 0 to 100 seconds, then shuts off.

<b>Functional description:</b>

The SHT 218 is a plug-in pump controller that activates a connected water pump when a certain water level is reached and deactivates it again after an adjustable delay time of 0 to 100 seconds once the sensor has dried. An acoustic and visual warning signals the presence of water. A safe and defined shutdown behavior can only be achieved with a mini float switch (<a href="https://www.elektrotechnik-schabus.de/warnsysteme-wasser/wassermelder/wassermelder-sht-227-pumpensteuerung">SHT 227</a>).

<b>Extension </b><b>Sensor cable:</b>

If necessary, you can extend the sensor cable up to 50 m using a cable (2 x 0.14 mm²). To do so, you must cut the existing sensor cable and reconnect it with terminals.

<b>With acoustic alarm:</b>

The same device is available as a pump control <a href="https://www.elektrotechnik-schabus.de/warnsysteme-wasser/wassermelder-sht-217"><b>SHT 217</b> (Art. No. 300217)</a> with an acoustic alarm.

&nbsp;

<b>Use with non-conductive liquids:</b>

For other liquids such as heating oil, diesel, vegetable oil, lubricating oils, etc. you need the device <a href="https://www.elektrotechnik-schabus.de/warnsysteme-wasser/wassermelder-sht-227-pumpensteuerung"><b>SHT 227</b> (Art. No. 300227)</a> with float switch.

The LIYY cables are only temporarily waterproof and, according to the manufacturer, are flame-retardant, low-adhesion, self-extinguishing and largely resistant to oils, greases, coolants and lubricants.

<b>Using a water sensor in the pump sump (condensation water):</b>

Use the device <a href="https://www.elektrotechnik-schabus.de/warnsysteme-wasser/wassermelder-sht-227-pumpensteuerung"><b>SHT 227</b> (Art. No. 300227)</a> with mini float switch if the device is used for cyclic operation.
