Scope of delivery
The GX-LNG gas sensor from Elektrotechnik Schabus is an external sensor specifically designed for the precise detection of flammable gases such as methane, propane, and butane. Combined with the GX-A1+ or GX-HS gas detectors, it offers an effective solution for early warning of gas leaks in a variety of applications.
Versatile gas detection
The GX-LNG sensor is capable of detecting a wide range of gases, including:
Natural gas (methane) : Commonly used in households and industrial facilities.
Liquefied petroleum gases (propane and butane) : Often found in gas cylinders for heaters, barbecues, or camping equipment.
Town gas and LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) : Used in urban gas supply networks and industrial applications.
R290 (propane as refrigerant) : Used in modern cooling systems and heat pumps.
This broad detection capability makes the GX-LNG sensor a versatile instrument for monitoring various gas sources.

Commissioning and calibration
During initial operation, the sensor requires a warm-up period of up to 6 days , depending on the ambient conditions. After this period, a self-calibration process is performed to ensure that the sensor achieves the specified measurement accuracy.

Extension of the connecting cable
The sensor's connecting cable can be extended. The following minimum cross-sections apply depending on the cable length:

Cable cross-section 3 x 0.5 mm²: maximum length 50 m
