Scope of delivery
The GX-A1+ is a powerful universal gas detector for surface mounting, offering maximum flexibility and safety. Depending on the sensor, it is suitable for a wide range of gases, including natural gas, town gas, CO₂, refrigerants (HFCs), and special sensors for carbon monoxide (CO). Selecting the appropriate sensor and the correct mounting height enables precise detection of a wide range of gases at the respective hazard source.
The GX-A1+ supplies the connected sensor with the necessary operating voltage, controls the heating current as needed, and continuously evaluates the sensor voltage. The backlit 2x16-character plain text display transparently presents both operating states and sensor data. For critical values, the device detects five different states – including a pre-alarm starting at 2.0 V and a main alarm starting at 2.5 V. In the event of an alarm, the device clearly warns with a loud piezo signal and flashing display illumination.
Two potential-free relay outputs enable direct control of external devices such as solenoid shut-off valves or gas boilers. In the event of technical faults, a second relay informs the building management system, for example. The service button provides access to advanced system information such as alarm counters, error codes, temperature values, and the software version.
As the direct successor to the proven GX-A1, the GX-A1+ is fully compatible – all connection positions remain identical. This makes replacement within existing systems much easier.
Thanks to the well-thought-out design, installation is particularly easy: the housing base with screw terminals is anchored to the wall, the electronics are inserted, and the device is closed – done.
A practical feature is the integrated 48-hour relay release in the event of a sensor failure, so that heating systems don't have to be shut down while replacement parts are being procured. The remaining time is shown directly on the display.
