Exhaust systems such as bathroom fans create negative pressure in the room if there isn't enough air flow. If a combustion unit (e.g., a gas boiler) is located in the same room, dangerous exhaust gases can escape and spread throughout the room.
By using the FGS 170 wireless exhaust air control, an exhaust air system can only be used when, for example, this gas boiler is not ignited.
The gas boiler must have a potential-free contact (normally closed or normally closed) that is queried by the FGS 170 and transmits the operating status of the gas boiler to the receiver.
You can get the additional receiver FGS 170-E (article 300701, page 27) for additional fans (specifying the serial number of the existing set) only in our online shop and not in stores, as we produce additional devices especially for you.

My gas boiler only produces 230 volts when ignited.
This happens quite often, but it's better than no message at all. Ask your electrician to bring a 230V relay with them for installation, so they can create a potential-free contact and thus control the FGS 170 transmitter.

The transmitter is connected to the potential-free contact (normally closed) of the gas boiler with a cable. As soon as combustion starts and the contact opens, a receiver is wirelessly controlled, which switches off the exhaust system (e.g., bathroom fan). The receiver can be installed surface-mounted or flush-mounted in a distribution box, switch, or socket with a diameter of at least 60 mm. The side mounting tabs on the receiver can be removed if necessary. *Ensure that the radio waves are not shielded (by walls, metal, etc.); the range depends on the installation.

Ich finde das System von Schabus genial. Leider ist der Funk Empfänger den ich 2018 gekauft habe bereits defekt. Ich hoffe dieser ist langlebiger!
