View full detailsExhaust systems such as bathroom fans or extractor hoods create negative pressure in the room if there is insufficient fresh air flow. If a fireplace (e.g., gas boiler, central heating boiler) is located in the same room, there is a risk that toxic exhaust gases – such as carbon monoxide – will be sucked back into the living space from the chimney.
The FGS 170 wireless exhaust air control system prevents precisely this risk: It only allows the exhaust air system to operate when the fireplace is not in use.
The control system consists of a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter is connected to the potential-free output of the gas boiler (normally closed or normally closed). As soon as the boiler ignites, the contact state changes – the signal is transmitted wirelessly to the receiver. The receiver then shuts off the power supply to the exhaust air system.
If the boiler is deactivated again, the receiver releases the exhaust air system.
Safety principle : Exhaust air is only permitted if no exhaust gases can be produced.
