The DS01 L differential pressure controller is a safety device that enables the simultaneous operation of room-air-dependent solid fuel fireplaces with ventilation systems (not suitable for open fireplaces or open operation). The negative pressure in the chimney connection compared to the surrounding room (= installation room or air connection) is continuously monitored during stove operation. This prevents negative pressure from developing in the installation room/air connection, preventing dangerous amounts of flue gas from escaping through the fireplace into the installation room. The integrated evaluation logic prevents overly sensitive response to wind pressure fluctuations or during a cold start of the fireplace. A plausibility check is also performed. If the air pressure monitor switches off the connected system, sufficient fresh air must be provided to restart it. Note: The DIBt approval applies exclusively to controlled residential ventilation systems, not to extractor hoods, although the DS01L also functions with these.

The pressure measuring adapter (1) and temperature measuring adapter (2) provide the necessary data for operating this electronic safety device in buildings with controlled domestic ventilation. The adapter rosette (3), available in black or silver-gray, ensures an attractive appearance by simply sliding it over the flue pipe. The rosette is available to fit flue pipes with a diameter of 130 or 150 mm.
