⚙️ Reliable water detection through resistance change

The SHT 8815 is a robust active water sensor with two V4A stainless steel contacts and a potted plastic housing made of Wepuran®.
As soon as water or another conductive liquid touches the contacts, the resistance between the two wires drops from several megaohms to several hundred ohms.
➡️ This allows the sensor to be easily connected to digital inputs with an internal pull-up or pull-down resistor .


🚫 Not compatible with Schabus water detectors

The SHT 8800 is not suitable for direct connection to Schabus water detectors . Please note this during integration.

Since electrolysis occurs with DC voltage in humid environments, the sensor is designed for regularly dry environments and only occasional water sources .

No. The SHT 8815 is a active sensor and therefore not compatible with Schabus water detectors, which for passive sensors are designed with potential-free contact.
It is intended exclusively for connection to controls with suitable digital inputs.
