Suitable for detecting the odorless and deadly co-gas. Carbon monoxide (CO) is a dangerous poison. CO gas is produced during the combustion of carbon-containing materials and this occurs when there is not enough oxygen available. This hazard can occur, for example, in boilers, fireplaces, and car exhaust.

A carbon monoxide alarm provides safety because it warns in good time of carbon monoxide concentrations that are hazardous to health.

• Ei Electronics carbon monoxide alarms have an electrochemical sensor to measure CO levels in the air.
• Every 4 seconds the sensor checks the carbon monoxide concentration in the environment
• As soon as the carbon monoxide concentration exceeds 43 ppm, the detector triggers an 85dB(A)/3m loud alarm
• If the critical value drops - e.g. due to extensive ventilation - the alarm is automatically reset.
