GAS ALARM GX-A1+

The universal gas warning device for surface-mounted fixed installation is suitable for different gases depending on the sensor. It provides the operating voltage required for the sensor, regulates the heating current required for some sensors and evaluates the sensor voltage returned by the sensor and displays it on its illuminated plain text display. Based on the different voltages, the GX-A1+ recognizes five different states, including the pre-alarm from 2.0 volts and the main alarm from 2.5 volts, at which not only the potential-free changeover relay assigned to the alarm switches, but the entire warning device makes itself clearly audiovisually noticeable with a loud alarm tone and flashing display lighting. There are sensors for city and natural gas, refrigerant (HFC) and carbon dioxide in two measuring ranges; for carbon monoxide a separate set GX-A1+CO is available, as the TÜV-tested CO sensors are addressed and evaluated differently.

The professional carbon monoxide warning device with internal CO sensor, whose measuring cell, evaluation electronics and software have been tested by TÜV Süd according to the standard, is here equipped with an additional external city and natural gas sensor, which makes the entire system the perfect warning device for the boiler room in which a gas heating system or boiler is installed. The alarm relay, which is energised in monitoring mode, drops out when gas is detected (methane, butane, propane, ethanol) or when the CO concentration specified by the standard is exceeded, and can thus switch off the heating system with its solenoid shut-off valve in the event of danger to reliably prevent further inflow of toxic or flammable gases.

In the event of an alarm, the appliance connected to the GX-B3, e.g. a gas heater, is also reliably switched off, whereby the appliance remains switched off until the user has ensured that his ventilation measures have had an effect and he resets it by briefly unplugging it and plugging it back into the socket.
